Innovations Showcase to Visiting EU, Danish Delegations
It was yet another great moment for some of our clients when they got an opportunity to showcase their innovative products and services on two occasions to European Union (EU) and Danish delegations who visited KCIC late last week and early this week.
The first to come calling was the EU delegation led by the EU Ambassador to Kenya, Simon Mordue. They visited on Thursday last week. On Monday, the second delegation to visit came from the Danish Embassy, representing Danida.
The two delegations got a great experience interacting with our clients who exhibited an assortment of products that included, among others, fortified flour produced from drought resistant crops such as cassava, finger millet, amaranth and soybean; tamarind products including juice and sauce; and moringa tea, made from the leaves of Moringa oleifera which is fast-growing drought-resistant tree. Other clients presented their innovative solutions on clean energy and climate-smart agriculture.
Both delegations were highly impressed with KCIC’s work of supporting green tech innovations and entrepreneurship as a way of creating sustainable and inclusive livelihoods. The visits offered a great opportunity for the exchange of constructive views on clean tech innovations and entrepreneurship in Kenya.
KCIC is pleased with the strong partnership with Danida in supporting the growth of green businesses so as to addresses the challenges posed by climate change. We also look forward to expanding partnerships to with the EU on the same course.
