Lydiah Kiburu

Lydiah Kiburu is a communications expert, and has experience in the development world and in the corporate sector. She also has extensive expertise in developing and implementation of organization strategy, product and service development and profiling. She served as acting Regional Director and as Director of Communication and Research at World Scout Bureau Africa Region. She serves in a volunteer capacity as the Deputy Chief Commissioner and Chair of National Strategy and Management for the Kenya Scouts Association. She is the first woman to hold the position of Deputy Chief Commissioner position. Lydiah has authored two books, Simple Communication Tips for Business Success, and How to Organise Functional School Libraries in Africa. She holds an Information Science degree from Moi University,a Post Graduate diploma in Mass Communication and a Masters Degree in International Development and Diplomacy from the University of Nairobi. She has undergone executive leadership training at Wharton Business School. Lydia is currently the General Manager, Communications at Equity Bank.
