ClimateLaunchPad(CLP) is the world’s largest green business idea competition. CLP’s mission is to unlock the world’s clean tech potential that addresses climate change. The objective is to support early stage businesses to grow their ideas into viable businesses that respond to the effects of Climate Change. For the first time outside of Europe, the ClimateLaunchPad (CLP) is being held in Africa, Kenya being hosted by the Kenya Climate Innovation Centre (KCIC).

The energy (solar heating regulation) regulation of 2012 under section 3 provide that “All premises within the jurisdiction of a local authority with hot water requirements

of a capacity exceeding one hundred litres per day shall install and use solar heating

systems”. This was to be enforced 5 years after the regulation was signed into law and the five window has lapsed this year.
